Golden Gate

Der 4te Streich des frischen Digitallabels von symbiont-music, SMplay, wird am 19.05.2013 das Licht der Welt erblicken. Samuel Fach beglückt uns mit seiner “Just” EP, welche neben 4, von geradehousig – technoid bis akustisch-tribal reichenden, Originalen, auch einen Remix von unserem hauseigenen Fuchs(berg) enthält. Ja, es darf sich Vorfreude breitmachen.
Und was macht die symbionten – Familie da? Sie feiert schonmal vor. Und zwar in der Schwitzhütte unseres Vertrauens: los goldos gatos.
Da die beiden Jungs zwar all night long machen könnten, aber nicht sollten, gibts gleich noch mehr musikalische Mitstreiter aus dem eigenen Hause plus zwei gute Freunde der symbionterei zur Seite:

After a tumultuous year, Electoy sat down to express himself through music.
The result; a wonderful new EP which exhibits these powerful and enriching experiences, reflections and emotions.
The listener is soon lost in his transporting sense of love, sorrow and melancholy, which in turn inspires within the listener reflection of their mind and expression of their body. Enjoy the transcending experience, that is Electoy.
A mixture of voluminous structures follow into a energetic and a dynamic base. A symbiosis of constancy and a new heartful part, a small degree between dancing and hovering.
Supported by Funkenstroem with a slack and also deep remix, Dub Resort reminds in maximal techno of Detroit and Georg Wedel modyfies from twilight of dub to house.

Golden Gate
Schicklerstraße / Dircksenstraße
Ein weiteres Mal präsentieren wir euch die neuesten Ergüsse einer unserer Künstler freudig erregt im Tor unseres Vertrauens. Diesmal ist es eine ganz besondere Ehre, denn der Produzent dieser EP hat sein Talent für sehr lange Zeit erstmal der Öffentlichkeit entzogen, bis es Anfang diesen Jahres wieder aus ihm herausbrach. Als Mitglied und Mitbegründer der ersten (damals noch nicht) symbiontischen Gehversuche ist es nun endlich soweit, dass Max aka Electoy sich mit diesem elegant-durchdachten und sehr emotionalen Werk als eine Art Wiedergeburt unserer Gemeinde vorstellt.
Wie man uns kennt, zelebrieren wir dies natürlich umfassend-aus ausschweifend im Güldenen Tor und wollen euch übrigens auch dabei haben.
Hier erstmal ein Hörbeispiel:
Mit von der Partie sind natürlich die Reh-mixenden, die dieser Scheibe ihre ganz eigene Note verliehen haben.
Ab dem 19.03.2013 könnt ihr das Ganze dann auch bei allen einschlägigen digitalen Verkaufsplattformen für einen unterstützenden Taler erwerben.

The Wolkenkuckucksheim EP is an exciting and versatile mix between electronic and acoustic piece of art, with remixes directly cut by handy hands to fit the dancefloor. Late nite or lazy sunday – we wish a safe and sound trip.
1. Wolkenkuckucksheim
The record WOLKENKUCKUCKSHEIM was primarily written as a theme-song for a unique correspoding SYMBIONT-MUSIC event in Berlins venue RITTER BUTZKE. The idea behind that event and it’s representing soundtrack was to make an utopia liveable and seizable, to create a fictional world, far away from the guests very private and personal reality – a temporary physical and spiritual withdrawal from the real world.
With lots of sound and natural frankness WOLKENKUCKUCKSHEIM breeds out many different amenities, which one would love to give in to.
2. Funkenmaxe der Song
A pride of saxophones, lead by its dominating greyback, is gently pushed through the sunlit savanna by (acid-influenced, but) very determined basslines.
3. Lonely
It’s jazzy bassline, underlined by a playful and dynamic drum grounding, here again determine the hypnotic warmth of this track. A softly distorted saxophone bravely encounters a melodicly shifting e-piano and strives unflinched towards hope!
4. Wolkenkuckucksheim (Gitte Verfuehrt rmx)
Unmistakable funky Gitte! He invited the jazzband to leave the basement and join the dancefloor, added a detail-loving pinch of synthetic *bleeps* in staccato – not only the kuckuck is gonna fall for that one..
5. Funkenmaxe der Song (Samuel Fach rmx)
Samuel Fach adds a well-rounded, driving note to the savannah and interprets the raw archetype in a sweat-dripping, groovy way, while varying instruments discuss this remix’ domination in an exciting manner with wafting planes.
6. Wolkenkuckucksheim (Jonas Saalbach rmx)
With massive and monolithic tracks, Jonas Saalbach teases a technoid touch out of the original and adds a harmonic note between hard and soft. Deeply in thought, this title presents itself anthemic but also irresistibly driving through its soil-rooted modulations.

Fuchsberg’s latest EP Checkpoint defines a stunning turning point in his musical development. Leaving old patterns behind, a new and unconventional direction has been achieved. One can immediately recognise an unusual, curious tension that lovers of techno will not be able to let go.
1. Checkpoint
Checkpoint is impressive from the word go, with it’s rousing, relaxed, deep groove and hazy vocals it sets a catchy, but unintrusive scene. The track gives a wonderful, exuberant groove with an enthusiastic beat.
2. I’ll Get You
I’ll Get You is an accurate depiction of what is to come. The hypnotic, deep, dry tune takes the listener with ease and without their permission. The driving beats and precise bassline push you inevitably to the dance floor and move to a more complex depth. The vocals, synths and violins take you on a journey from which at the end you are suddenly awakened from this beautiful dream. Rewind – repeat!
3. Checkpoint (Foehn %26 Jerome Remix)
Foehn %26 Jerome’s take on Checkpoint is perfect for a positive Sunday afternoon. Their expansive, relaxed, encouraging aesthetic provides a wonderful outlet for an extravagant after-party set.
4. Seconds (Sven Jozwiak Remix)
Slightly trippy and playful urges are utilised in Sven Jozwiak’s remix of Seconds. The exciting flutes hypnotise the listener and provide that extra push an already twitchy leg needs to dance. With a great variety of sounds and a strong energy, the ride continues through the night.

This EP consists of 4 electronic but organic tracks which make YOU AND ME, WE an EP that allows you to sense the vibe that these artist share with each other producing in one studio and being friends.
Tatiana recorded the vocals for Ti i Ya at dawn after a long night out. Having a microphone in one hand and a bottle of Russias finest liquor in the other she sang the lovely lines which inspired Richard alias Gitte Verfuehrt to capture this special moment packed in a sophisticated electronic funk track. Egokind proved once again his remix skills as he kept the spirit of TI I YA though he
twisted and turned it around. Funkenstrom and his remixer Rich vom Dorf are friends for a long time. Growing up together they have been influenced by the same music. Even though living in separate cities they develop sounds
that underline the connection between the two of them. Wir is prefaced by spherical organ tunes of Funkenstrom coupled with a cheerful and flickering hookline. The Remix carries this on but in a functional way suitable for clubs.

Hier kommt ein Schmankerl unserer letzten großen künstlerischen Verbandelung von Gitte Verfuehrt. Mit einer bezaubernden Ansage von den Geschwister Schumann aus der Hütte des Ritter Butzkes vom 29.09.2012.
Der erste Titel wird am 9. November per Vinyl auf Kallias veröffentlicht. Zusammen mit Funkenstrøm entstand die Scheibe Ich und Du, Wir mit Remixen von Rich.vom.Dorf und Egokind. Letzterer ist am Ende des Sets zu hören.
Whilst experiencing Gitte´s music for the first time, the conclusion forms very distinct and quickly. One is engaging with a very exceptional artist here. The individual and smooth consolidation of acustic and electronic repertoire merged with original variations open up the playful and highly musical world of Gitte Verfuehrt.
